Awakened Warrior Yoga
Yoga, meaning "union" in Sanskrit, is a practice of physical postures, breathing exercises, meditation and relaxation techniques designed to create balance in the body, mind and spirit. Though it started in India over 5000 years ago, people around the world continue to practice it today, proof that this balanced approach to life helps create health and vitality. Awakened Warrior focuses on Kripalu Style Yoga. With this form of yoga, through mindful breath and movement, you can bring life into your body and energize your spirit. In each class, you will be guided safely through breath-work, postures, brief meditation and relaxation.
Awakened Warrior also offers yoga specifically for children, who are naturally radiant, aware, & full of innocent wisdom. The deeper purpose of teaching children in yoga is to help them maintain their natural wisdom and radiance; or if their light has been dulled by events in their lives, to help them regain their inherent state of being. Emphasis is on fun and experiencing wisdom through movement, breath, and imagination!
